STURK, Beverly Noreen - Of Flint, age 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with her loving family present Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Private visitation and funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Mr. Art Zehr officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or the ASPCA.
Beverly was born in Flint on May 27, 1954, the daughter of George and Anita (Adcock) Willis. On November 14, 1987, she married Gary Sturk in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beverly was a member of Eastwood Methodist Church.
Beverly was full of love. She loved her family and friends above all else but was also a passionate lover of music and animals. She would always go above and beyond for any and all of her loved ones who ever needed anything. Most of her closest friends she met in school, and she maintained and cherished those friendships for well over 50 years. She was a devoted Elvis fan, but loved all pop music from the 60's and 70's and when a song came on the radio she could name the year and artist before anyone else. She loved playing euchre and was always ready for a game. Over the years she took in numerous stray cats and gave them a wonderful, loving home for many years. She will be loved and remembered by all of those who were lucky enough to have known her.
Surviving are husband, Gary;
sons, Matthew (Sue) Sturk and Casey (Megan) Sturk;
grandchildren, Leona, Henry and Ally;
several nieces and nephews;
siblings, Brenda (James) Landis and George (Linda) Willis;
and her cat, Jax.
Beverly was preceded in death by parents and many furred companions.
