GREENE, Elaine – Of Grand Blanc, age 76, died Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday with an AmVets ceremony held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home and visitation 12 p.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Elaine was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 2, 1945, the daughter of the late Vera (Woods) and Lyndon McCue. She married James Greene on April 11, 1970 in Redford Township.
Over their 35 years together, they enjoyed time with family and friends, traveling, camping, AmVets, and volunteering.
Elaine worked at Riverbend Nursing Home as a Hairdresser for over 30 years. After James passing in 2005, she continued to enjoy the things she did with him, while also traveling and playing cards with friends.
Elaine was a loving and giving mother to Darren (Amy) Greene and Kerri Glass (Greene).
She treasured her two grandchildren, Joshua Greene and Cassie Glass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Greene; sister, Linda Brenner (McCue) and parents.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that you donate in Elaine’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
