Helen Mae Houfek, age 62 years young, of Fenton, passed away Friday, May 21st, 2021. Helen was raised in Oscoda, MI to the late Leroy and Doris (Wezell) Simons. She was also preceded in death by her brother Harvey and sister Susie. Helen is survived by her love of her life, husband of 38 years, Darren Houfek; her 2 sons Byrant and Chase; daughter in laws Shannon and Janet and her 5 grandchildren, Sydney, Paige, Brooke, Aiden, and Aspen. Helen is also survived by many loved family and friends. After moving about the country for a time, she settled in Oakland County in 1987. She enjoyed crafts & carpentry, antiques and refinishing old furniture but she got the most enjoyment out of raising and caring for her children and grandchildren. Helen had a big heart, was always kind to people, and was strong and independent to the end. Helen played a very large part in her family's lives with endless love and unconditional support. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Visitation will be from 4-9 PM Fri. May 28th, 2021 and 10-1:30 PM Sat. May 29th, 2021. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Sat. May 29th, 2021 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Memorial donations can be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital.
