HILL, Mary “Mickey” (McDiarmid) – of Davison, MI, age 76, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, June 4, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Friday, June 3, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and one hour prior Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Whaley Children’s Center, North End Soup Kitchen or a charity of one’s choice, in Mickey’s memory.
Mickey was born in Flint, MI on May 12, 1946, daughter of the late Leslie and Elma (Merrill) McDiarmid. She was a graduate of St. Agnes High School Class of 1964. Mickey married Dennis “Denny” Hill on December 6, 1999 and he preceded her in death on December 30, 2009. She retired from Ascension Genesys Hospital in 2012 after 45 years of service. Mickey was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and volunteered for any occasion needed. She enjoyed playing softball, gardening, dancing and volunteered numerous hours at the soup kitchen.
Mickey is survived by sister, Sharon (Fred) Jeffers, brothers, Jim (Kay) McDiarmid and Mark (Mary) McDiarmid; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Elma McDiarmid and her husband, Dennis “Denny” Hill; sister, Tracey DuShane.
