GILBERT, Paul Greg – of Flint, MI, age 62, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Friday, May 20, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Rex Sparks officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 12-2 PM Friday, May 20, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Paul’s memory.
Paul was born in Flint, MI on April 29, 1960, son of the late Maurice and Mary Ellen (Lary) Gilbert. He was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1978. Paul married Lisa Tucker on September 12, 1992 in Burton, MI. He was employed with Soroc Products in Burton, MI for over 40 years. Paul enjoyed playing his guitar, working on his 1930 Ford Model A and playing pool. He also collected and repaired watches and clocks. Paul enjoyed spending time with his dogs and his family, especially the time he spent with his brother, Ralph.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Gilbert; son, Johnathan (Rebecca) Gilbert; brother, Ralph (Ellen) Gilbert; nephew, Todd Gilbert; niece, Megan (Austin) Zidar; 2 aunts, Janice (Gordon) Nichols and Norma O’Connell; 2 canine companions, Shadow and Riley; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice (Arlene) Gilbert and Mary Ellen Gilbert.
