PLUMB, Sharon Lee - Of Grand Blanc, age 87, died Sunday, December 10, 2023 at American House Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 1PM Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Paul Ytterock officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Sharon was born in Flint, Michigan on February 2, 1936, the daughter of the late Harley and Bessie (Jones) McQuillan and was a resident of the Grand Blanc area since 1966. She was a graduate of Northern High School, Class of 1954. During earlier years, Sharon enjoyed traveling to Florida. She loved eating out, especially to Taco Bell, always arriving hand in hand with her “soul mate”, Doug. On June 18, 1955, she married Douglas R. Plumb in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2014. Sharon always made sure she would arrive anywhere in style with matching clothes and purses. Sharon meticulously cared for her home, which included many of her extensive collections of which she took great pride in sharing with others. Sharon was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Flint. She was a Deacon, member of Cheltsie Ladies Choir, President of Grand Blanc Woman’s Club, McLaren Auxiliary and Love, Inc.
Surviving are son, Michael and wife Debbie Plumb of Flint;
daughters, Kimberly and husband Jamie Shaaia of Arizona and Pamela Moorman of Grand Blanc;
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
brother, Kirk (Laura) McQuillan of Arizona;
sister, Sandra Barton;
several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
