CHAPEL MARY LOUISE – Of Flushing, formerly of Davison, age 83, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 12, 2021 at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel.

Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mary Louise was born in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania on October 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Domenico and Angelina (Costanza) D’Itri and step-father, Carmello Collica. She graduated from Central High School in 1956 and attended Flint Junior College, received Bachelor’s from U of M Flint and Masters from U of M Ann Arbor. On June 23, 1956 she married Clinton Chapel in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2001. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Davison for many years. She enjoyed needlepoint, figure skating, gardening and spending time with her family.
Mary Louise was employed at CMH as a social worker and went on to own her own practice as a therapist.
Surviving are sons, Matthew and Christopher;
grandchildren, Roxanne Chapel, Amber (Greg) Hagen, Justin (Sindu) Chapel, Jesse Chapel, Megan, Abigail and Portia Chapel;
6 great-grandchildren, Noah, Jack, Samuel, David, Andrew and Esther Hagen;
brother-in-law, Paul (Janet);
nephews and nieces, Michael D’Itri, Angela Wiley, Patricia Ann D’Itri, Julie D’Itri, Dennis D’Itri and Leslie Chapel;
cousins, Pam, Brian and Brad Dowdy;
special school friends, Clara Cardriche and Sally Torres;
special friend of 70 years, Carol McCarty;
granddog, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her son, Clinton, Jr.; brothers, Frank (Patricia) D’Itri and Louie (Beverly) Di’Itri and cousin, Greg Dowdy.
