SHELTON, Bryce Richard – of Davison, MI, age 61, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2025 and 12-1 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, in Bryce’s memory.
Bryce was born in Flint, MI on May 24, 1964, son of the late Elton and Dorothy (Elenbaas) Shelton. Born with a deep appreciation for nature, Bryce found his greatest joy on the water—fishing rod in hand, the sun rising over calm waves, and his heart full. On May 11, 1989, Bryce married the love of his life, Pamala Schaaf, in Davison, MI. Together, they built a life rich in laughter, love, and adventure. Bryce worked at Chrysler Corporation for 15 years. Later, he pursued entrepreneurship as a self-employed independent distributor, a role that gave him the freedom to spend more time doing what he loved most. An avid fisherman, Bryce could often be found aboard his fishing boat—sharing stories, casting lines, and teaching others the patience and joy that fishing brings. He also loved hunting and the quiet peace of the woods, where he felt most connected to the world around him. More than anything, Bryce treasured time with his family and friends. Whether out on the water, or sharing a meal, he made everyone feel welcome and valued. His warmth, humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Bryce’s legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Bryce is survived by his wife, Pamala Shelton; daughter, Tonya (Jeff) Miller; 3 grandsons, Jeffrey Miller, Luke Miller and Bailey Miller; great-granddaughter, River Miller; sister, Michelle Allen; 3 nephews, Adam, Curtis and Ryan; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Dorothy Shelton; brother, Michael Shelton; parents-in-law, Nelson and Kathryn Schaaf.
