DAVIS, Helen Marie (Coates) – of Vassar, MI, age 85, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison MI 48423; Pastor Robert D. Taylor officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, MI. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home.
Helen was born in Flint, MI on September 18, 1937, daughter of the late Armor and Eola (Avery) Coates. She married Paul C. Davis on September 28, 1957 and he preceded her in death on October 20, 2003. Helen enjoyed playing card games and trips to the casino.
Helen is survived by 4 children, Renee (David) Lee, Jeff (Nancy) Davis, Clyde (Lorie) Davis and David Davis; 10 grandchildren, Thersa (Aaron) TerMarsch, Tiffany Lee, Tara Lee, Joshua (Alison) Davis, Emily (Fiore) Bertoni, Abigail Davis, Jacob Davis, Jessica (Brian) Rutledge, Cory Davis and Cami (Andrew) Cross; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Coates; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Armor and Eola Coates; husband, Paul C. Davis; parents-in-law, Clyde and Eleanor Davis and 7 siblings.
