Christenson, Judith Ann - Age 78, of Fenton, passed away June 5, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of fresh flowers, the family prefers outdoor plantings or memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Judith Christenson was born on October 30, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ross and Frances (Stuart) Duckworth. She graduated from Flint Southwestern High School and later earned an associate degree from Pratt Institute in New York. On April 1, 1969, she married the love of her life, Bud Christenson. Judith dedicated her professional career to serving her community as Deputy Director of the Flint Neighborhood Improvement and Preservation Project, Inc. Following her retirement, she continued working as a legal secretary for her son's law firm, Christenson and Fiederlein, P.C. Judith was an active member of the Fenton Moose Lodge and was a faithful member of the J Cats of Frankfort and the Mermaids of the Florida Keys. She cherished the friendships she made, loved helping others, made everything okay again for everyone, and usually achieved this with laughter and her exquisite sense of humor inherited from her family. The love, support, sisterhood, endless laughter and adventures that always ensued with the latter two groups distracted her from her pains, both physically and mentally, and this was never more so than during the tough times of the last years of her life as her constant companion and soul mate slipped slowly away. Above all, family meant everything to Judy: her Buddy, Her Boy, Her Ditty, her Meechie and her Madi Girl were her absolute world. Surviving are: husband, Bud Christenson; son, Chris (Amy) Christenson of Grand Blanc; daughter, Deidre (Andrew Main) Christenson-Main of Scotland; two granddaughters, Madison (fiancée El Butrie) and Mia Christenson; siblings, Gregory (Carrisa) Duckworth of Davison; aunt and uncle, Karen (Larry) Roehrig of Linden; dear friends, Jennifer Christenson, Lee and Roger Mix, and Phyllis Valdez; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Frances Duckworth; sister, Vickie Rose; brother, Stuart Duckworth. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
