Bargo, Glen of Flushing, Michigan (formerly of Hale, Michigan), age 80, died January 3, 2023, at his residence, under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice.

Glen was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on August 20, 1942, the son of Oliver and Kitty Bargo. He married Rosalie (Bradley) in 1963 and raised three daughters, Tina (Scott) Bird, Kimberly (Rodney) Coles, and Pamela (Harvey) Workman III. He had five grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Bird, Harvey Workman IV, Joshua (Sydney) Coles, Amanda (Levon) Luther and Crystal Coles; and three great-grandchildren, Rosemary Bird, William Bird and Penny Luther. Glen is survived by his siblings, Oliver (Ruby) Bargo and Juanita (Thomas) Bradley; sisters-in-law, Mary Cross, Geraldine Irons and Sandra Crane; brother-in-law, Thomas (Juanita) Bradley; and many nieces and nephews.


Glen spent his childhood in Barbourville, Kentucky then moved to Flint, Michigan in 1962 where he worked at Flint Metal Fab, Local 659 until he retired in 1999. He then moved to Hale, Michigan full time where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, playing Euchre and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He wintered in Punta Gorda, Florida for 20 years.


Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver & Kitty Bargo; siblings, Reed, Earl, Linville, Geneva, two infant brothers, Bertha Hubbard, Ethel Taylor, Lena Smith, and Hazel Hickman; brothers-in-law, Jessie Hubbard, Edward Taylor, and Denver Smith; sisters-in-law, Fanny Jo Bargo, Patricia Bargo. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anthony and Mary Bradley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anthony Bradley, William Bradley, Donald Bradley, Eugene Cross, Jerry Irons, Robert Crane, Lorraine & John Brock, Pauline & Gary Haywood and George Fechik III; and several nieces and nephews.


A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, January 6, 2023, at Rossell Funeral Home, 307 E Main St, Flushing, Michigan. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will take place after the service and he will be laid to rest in New Calvary Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
