PORTER, Brian Keith – age 63, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, surrounded by those he loved most in this world.
Brian was born the middle of three children to John and Naomia Porter in Flint, MI on October 11, 1959. He worked for General Motors for 30 years before retiring. Brian had a passion for cars, fixing them, and watching the races. He was a fan of football and was infamously known to have a handful of Werthers candies in his pocket and an Arizona green tea in hand. After his lung transplant in 2021, he became a chocolate ice cream lover.
In 1986, Brian married his partner in life, Darla (Stacey) Porter. Together they had three children, Melissa, Jonathan, and Stacey.
Brian wore many titles: husband, partner, dad, papa, brother, son, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark.
He is survived by his closest friend and love, Darla, his children, Melissa (Jacob) Gagne, Jonathan (Amber) Porter, Stacey (Dalton) Porter, brother, Wayne Porter, and his beautiful grandchildren, Elsie and Arlo.
When all seems lost, his love will be here still.
A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
