LaBean, Frederick “Fred”- of Clio, age 87, died Monday, March 21, 2022, at McLaren Flint. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Monday, March 28, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2PM until 7PM and on Monday from 10AM until time of service.
Fred was born March 2, 1935, in Flint, Michigan to the late Fred and Margaret (Ott) LaBean. He worked for Summerfield Chevrolet for 28 years, retiring in 2001. Fred married Frances on November 22, 1969, they shared 53 years together. He graduated from Northern High School with the class of 1954. Fred was a member of Mt. Morris Church of Christ. He enjoyed old cars, tinkering, and collectable cars and tractors. Fred loved his John Deere tractors, being outside and working in the garage. If you knew Fred, he was known for always having a clean red Chevy truck. Above all he was loved and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Wife, Frances LaBean; Son: Sells (Julie) LaBean; Grandsons: RJ (Stephanie) Tackaburry, Austin LaBean and Nash LaBean; Great grandchildren: Gavin Cullum, Peyton Cullum, and Reagan Tackaburry; Sister: Shirley (Jerry) Fitchett; Brother- in-law: Brownlow (Judy) Hodge; Several nieces and nephews.
