Welma Maxine Ostrander
Age 86 of Fenton passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at McGeehan Funeral Homes - Martin Chapel. Burial will follow at Brant Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Welma was born on May 12, 1933 to John and Bertha (Thair) Carman in Brant. She married Earl R. Ostrander on June 30, 1952; he predeceased her in 1999 after 42 years of marriage. Welma worked as a Cashier at the Salvation Army for many years.
During her life, Welma loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed baking pies, watching Christmas movies, and playing handheld games. Welma also enjoyed her trips to Florida and eating crab legs and shrimp.
Welma is survived by her children, Duane (Denise) Ostrander, Dianna Robiadek, Kandy (John) O'Connor, Kim Ostrander, and Tammy (Soleyman) Gharai; her 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Mary.
She is predeceased by her husband, Earl; her parents; and 6 brothers and sisters.
