Terrill D. O’Leary, 73, of Metamora went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2025. He passed away peacefully at Independence Village in Oxford after battling lung disease for many years.
He was born in Columbia, Missouri on June 16, 1951, as a twin (brother Tim) to Samuel and Carolyn O’Leary. Terry attended Flushing High School graduating in 1969. He went on to attend Ferris State University where he earned degrees in both marketing and advertising. He was employed by General Motors for 25 years, retiring in 2007 from Delphi as a Product Manager.
Terry enjoyed playing the piano, reading, fishing and loving his home on Lake Lapeer. He had a lifelong passion for golf and belonged to several leagues where he made many good friends.
Left behind are Terry’s wife of 38 years, Nancy O’Leary, his daughter, Sarah Lockwood (Mike), brothers Timothy and Paul (Lisa), sister Erin Masters (Jeff), sister-in-law Bonnie Riutta (Tom), brother-in-law Gary Behm (Jeanne) and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday August 17 at 2:00pm at the Elba Township Hall, 4717 Lippincott Road, Lapeer MI 48446
