BARGIEL, Henry August, “Hank”, age 88 passed away peacefully, November 29, 2025, after suffering a stroke in November 2022 and the resulting decline. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Friday, December 5, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery following the Mass including the cremated remains of his wife of 66 years Norma Maxine (Brennan) Bargiel. The family will receive visitors at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 from 4-7 PM Thursday, December 4, 2025, and from 12 PM until the time of Mass on Friday, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home with a Memorial Service under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Council #4090 immediately following the Rosary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Living Joy Assisted Living or a charity of the donor’s choice, in Henry’s memory. A Special thanks to the staff at Living Joy on Pierson Rd in Flushing, MI for warm and compassionate care.

Henry was born in Yale, MI on June 27, 1937, one of three sons of the late Frank and Victoria (Maslyk) Bargiel. He was a graduate of Capac High School Class of 1955. On April 30, 1955, Hank married his high school sweetheart, Norma Maxine Brennan. After the birth of their three children Deborah, Douglas and Norma, the family moved to the Flint area and later settled in Davison, MI. While working for Chevrolet, Henry completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. He later earned a promotion to tool designer. He was a multi-sport athlete in high school and remained active in many sports throughout his life. He was also active in the Jaycees and Knights of Columbus. His life was devoted to his family. Henry was an accomplished handyman, fixing or making things. Many vacations or trips were spent doing a project for someone which he loved doing. He enjoyed spending time with the generations of kids, attending their activities from sporting events to dance recitals, relishing in their accomplishments. He also enjoyed his family and friends with a game of cards, a board game or just playing catch. Henry attended St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison where he was a faithful member and an usher. Henry will continue to watch us from Heaven, looking forward to meeting us again someday. He won’t say much, true to form.

Henry “Hank” Bargiel; is survived by his; 3 children, Deborah Anne (Jim) Estes; Douglas Allen (Jean) Bargiel and Norma Jean (Bill) Hayes; 11 grandchildren, Irwin (Erin) Estes, Dawn (Darin) Everett, Holly (Juston) Whitney, Claire (Jeff) Soukup, Jill (Ludo) Carasco, Amy (Todd) Warnimont, John (Emily) Bargiel, Joanne Boisvert, Julie Hayes, David (Megan) Hayes and Andrea Hayes; 20 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Maren, Raeden, Trenton, Luke, Morgan, Taylor, Elsie, Rose, Louise, Austin, Ivy, Lina, Hannah, Bryce, Jacob, Aurora, Isaac, Bennett, and a boy expected soon; many other loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Maxine Bargiel, his parents, Frank and Victoria Bargiel his older brother Ed Bargiel and a brother who died at birth.
