GROOMBRIDGE, Susan Kay - Of Flint, age 66, died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Road, Flint, Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Groombridge will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.
Susan was born in Flint, Michigan on June 15, 1955, the daughter of the late Max and Mary Lou (Moyzer) Kleinfeld.
She graduated from Hamady High School in 1973.
On October 19, 1974 she married James Groombridge in Flint.
Susan was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years.
She was employed by Kearsley Schools in Childcare for 17 years.
She enjoyed crafts and quilting.
Susan also enjoyed golf cart rides with her grandchildren and spending time with her family at the cabin.
She loved to be the prankster in the family.
Above all else she loved her family and spending time with them.
Surviving are husband, James; children, Marci (Phil) Sporman and Trevor (Erica) Groombridge;
grandchildren, Anna, Mia “Mymy”, Sofia, Brady and Carly; step-mother, Shirley Kleinfeld and brother, Max Jr. (Linda) Kleinfeld.
