WRIGHT, Eunice – of Burton, MI, age 85, passed away on February 21, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM – 2 PM & 4-7 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Eunice’s memory.
Eunice was born in Flint, MI on April 27, 1936, daughter of the late Artha and Marie (Banks) Hyde. She married Dale Wright on May 25, 1974 in Burton, MI. Eunice loved their family get togethers, especially at Christmas. She had an extensive angel collection that she cherished. Eunice enjoyed watching the birds at her feeder, hummingbirds being her favorite. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and rarely missed watching a game. Most of all Eunice loved her family, especially her little doggie, Moxie.
Eunice is survived by her husband, Dale Wright; children, Danny (Claudia) Kodat, Alisa Duehring, Randy (Esther) Lawrence, Tracy (Phil) Gaffney and son-in-law, David Karczewski; Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; special nephews and niece, Ken (Ginger) Wright, Norman (Colleen) Wright and Beverly Rule; many other loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Karczewski; son, Rodney Wright; son-in-law, Dennis Duehring; great grandson, Gage Elkins; brothers, Chuck, Paul, Dale, Jerry and Jack Hyde; and sister, Donna Wendling.
A special thank you to her Hospice Team: Sheryl, Rose and Carrie; and to her husband, Dale, and granddaughter, Dana, for their loving care for her during her illness.
