MOORE, Francis “Frank” H. - Of Flint, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at his residence.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, July 3rd, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint with Pastor Dale Moore officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00am-8:00pm on Sunday, July 2nd and from 10:00am on Monday until the time of service.
Frank was born in Flint, Michigan on October 24, 1955, the son of the late Russell and Helen (Loach) Moore. He graduated from Carman High School in 1973. Frank was employed for 36 years at Carman-Ainsworth in maintenance, retiring in 2011. He was an excellent leader and took great pride and care of not only the building, but everyone in the building. In 2012, he returned to work as a playground superintendent for both Randels and Rankin Elementary. He was a positive influence and befriended thousands of students, who gave him the nickname the “Big Dog”. Over the years, his hard work was recognized in many ways such as being voted Grand Marshal and the Support Staff Employee of the Month. Frank was also involved in the school system as a basketball coach at Dye Junior High, a football coach at Utley and a softball and basketball coach at Randels. Outside of work, Frank was an avid golfer and bowler, earning multiple 300 games. Frank was loved by everyone who met him and he will be greatly missed.

Kelly & Eric Smith of Flint, MI, Scott & Dee Griswold of Fife Lake, MI;
Nieces & Nephews, Mark & Tammyjean Moore, Troy & Bonnie Moore, Kelly Moore, Tom & Peggy Moore, Cindy & Denny Creisher, Andy & Jessica Moore, Kevin & Michelle Moore, James Tilley and Jeffery Tilley & Morgan Goodman, Sara Tilley & fiancé Tim McNiel, Kaitlynd & Aaron Michell, Allison & Taylor Page and Logan Griswold;
Great Nieces & Nephews, Kayla, Hailey Abby & Jake Creisher, Ethan & Alex Moore, McKenna Tilley, Hudson & Tucker Michell and Carter Page.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Russell & Helen (Loach) Moore; 2 oldest brothers, Russell (Rusty) & Gerald (Jerry) Moore; nephew, Anthony (Tony) Moore and fur-friends, BeeGee and Gallagher.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in Frank’s name to Carman-Ainsworth Music Department.
