JONES, Naomi Cora - Age 103, of Swartz Creek, formerly of Flint, passed away January 15, 2022 at Springvale Assisted Living. Funeral Service 11AM Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church 2051 W. Maple Ave., Flint. Pastor Mark Pretznow officiating. Interment Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation 2PM-8PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and 10 AM until the time of service Thursday at Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Memorial Contributions in Naomi's memory would be appreciated to The Lamb of God Lutheran Church Bell Choir.
Naomi was born October 5, 1918 in White Water, MO, the daughter of Ossie B. and Azzie D. (Austin) Allen. She married Boyd Franklin Jones in Flint on August 17, 1936. Naomi graduated from Flint Northern High School. She retired as a Dietitian from McLaren Hospital after 10 years of service. Naomi was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church, and formerly Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Higgins Lake. Naomi also enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
Naomi is survived by: her daughter's in law, Martha Jones, Sharon Jones, and Rita Jones; grandchildren, Tim Jones, Janelle (Gordon) Birchard, Craig Jones, Danah (Garret) Orr, and Danelle (Mark) Bradley; 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Naomi's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Nursing staff at Springvale Assisted Living for the great loving care that they provided to Naomi.
Naomi was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Boyd; sons, Frederick Jones, Robert Jones, and Chuck Jones; and 9 brother's and sisters. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneral homes.com. |
