Klett, Debra - of Flint, formerly of Texas, age 76, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Oasis Assisted Living in Clio. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.
Debra was born on September 20, 1949, in Flint, Michigan to the late John and Shirley (Hinderer) Gillespie. Debbie, as she was called by her loved ones, will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, huge vocabulary, and love of animals. For many years, she enjoyed a rich social life filled with laughter, friends and family. Storytelling was her special gift as was teasing, which she undoubtably learned from growing up in a house full of kids. Some of her happiest times as an adult were those spent with her siblings and cousins, laughing to the point of tears about the hardships they endured growing up together. Debbie took pride in her work, spreading joy and confidence to everyone who sat in her chair. An easy talker, she always found ways to connect with her patrons, and they loved her for it She was an excellent cook, an avid reader, and a true crossword puzzle enthusiast, often showcasing her impressive skill in solving even the toughest of clues. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are: Daughters: Julie Klett (Steven Gatlin) and Sarah Klett (Jason Trumpfheller); Granddaughter, Bailey Gatlin; Siblings: Janet (Don) Loomis and John (Jean) Gillespie. She is preceded in passing by her Sisters: Roberta Gillette, Connie Kellar.
