GIPSON, Robert “Rob” – of Clio, age 46, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2025, at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Rob’s Life will be held at 3PM on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 12PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.
Born on January 16, 1979, in Flint, Rob lived a life full of personality, laughter, and heart. He married the love of his life, Christina (West) Gipson, on July 13, 2002, and for 23 years they built a home filled with love, loyalty, and joy. Together with their sons, Nathan and Aiden, they shared unforgettable adventures, traveling across the country and visiting over 40 states — building memories that will be treasured forever.
Rob was a proud and devoted father, and his boys were the center of his world. He lit up when talking about them — whether cheering on their accomplishments or simply enjoying the everyday moments.
He was a strong and hardworking man, spending 10 years with Consumers Energy. Outside of work, Rob was truly in his element. Whether cruising on his Harley, adding another tattoo to his ever-growing collection, or getting lost in a video game, Rob lived life full throttle. He was effortlessly funny — the kind of person who could make anyone laugh, often until they cried. He had a gift for connection, making friends wherever he went and making every gathering better just by being there.
He will be remembered for the way he made people feel — welcomed, seen, and loved. He leaves behind an incredible legacy of humor, love, and loyalty.
Rob is forever loved and deeply missed by his wife, Christina Gipson; sons, Nathan and Aiden Gipson; parents, Mike and Dawn Bailey; father, Richard Gipson; siblings: Tonya (Damon) Robnolte, Stacie (Jerry) Griffin, and Jennifer (William) Johnson, Ryan Gipson; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Norine Peek and Father-in-law, David West.
