Thelma Grace (Rupp) Garber, 90, of Holland, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, OH. She was born March 30, 1920 in Waterville Twp., OH to John and Hazel (Mayer) Rupp. Thelma was a cafeteria worker for many years for the Springfield Twp. School District.
She married Carl D. Garber Sr. April 12, 1941 in Toledo, OH. He preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Judy (David) Suleski of Plant City, FL and Cindy Baker of Holland, OH, daughters-in-law, Patricia Garber and Irene Garber, grandchildren, David Jr. and Tom Suleski, Kris and Josh Garber; Amanda and Nic Baker, 7 great grandchildren, sisters, Evelyn Green and Leona (Kenneth) Haynes and brother Kenny (Martha) Rupp. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Sr., sons Carl Jr. and Terry, son-in-law, Marshall Baker, and siblings, Harley, Bob, Don, and Betty Rupp.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Peinert Funeral Home, Whitehouse, OH from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
The family suggests giving memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
