CARPENTER, Arden Karolin - age 86, of Flint, died August 19, 2022. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Monday, August 22, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Rev. Dean Dumbrille officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 PM - 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will take place 9:30 AM Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Arden was born June 15, 1936 in New York, New York, the daughter of Donald and Evelyn (Goodman) Rith. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. Arden was a self-employed entrepreneur. Her career was as an employment instructor, sales, public relations and owner of a placement company Positive Images. Arden volunteered at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, AZ, taught at McLaren Hospital in Flint and the Genesee County Jail. She was also a volunteer at Flushing Senior Center, was a mentor to troubled teenage girls and 4-H program through M.S.U. Surviving are: five children, Mark (Robbie) Stewart of South Carolina, Christopher Stewart of Tennessee, Darla (Dennis) Appel of Florida, Maria (Mark) Fauss of Flint, and Jeffrey (Lesliy) Mayer of Davison; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Joan) and Craig; sister, Karen. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ivan Carpenter; father, Donald Rith, mother, Evelyn Bishop; two brothers, Carl and William. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
