John Jerome Davidek - Age 85, of Flint, passed away November 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 3-7PM Friday and 10AM until the time of service Saturday. A committal service will be held 1 PM Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Humane Society of Genesee County, Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties or the charity of their choice. John was born June 13, 1940 in Flint, the son of Stephen Paul and Anna Agnes (Prohaska) Davidek. He was a graduate of St. Michael High School, Michigan State University and was a veteran of the US Army. John owned and operated a painting and decorating business for many years. He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Keefe and Cynthia Davidek (Chris Sherman); brother, Paul (Sally) Davidek; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stefan (Angelina), Edward (Georgina) and Robert (Marie); sister, Geraldine (Robert) Benedict and his long-time companion, CJ.
