Larry John Dortman Sr. of Davison, age78 died Tuesday August 28, 2018 at McLaren-Flint. The family is honoring Larry’s request of cremation with no public visitation or services. Those desiring may make contributions in Larry’s memory to the charity of their choice.
Larry was born in Port Huron Michigan on November 3, 1939 the son of the late John & Victoria (Weymouth) Dortman and has resided in the area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Jan LaCross on July 24, 1965. Answering the call of his country Larry proudly served in the US Air Force. He had been employed by General Motors Pontiac Motor Division until his retirement in 1991. He also had been employed by the Atlas Country Club for many years.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife of fifty-three years; Jan, son Larry J. Dortman Jr. and daughter Terri and husband Greg Crary. He also leave his loving grandchildren; Brennan, Austin, Cameron, Alexus, and Madelynn. Brother Dale and wife Betty Jean Dortman sister, Linda and husband Ron Leonard, and a host of extended family.
