NORMAN, Michael Joseph - Age 60, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Flint, Twp., passed away January 31, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, February 8, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Father David Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana 982 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40217.
Michael was born May 6, 1960 in Flint, MI the son of Richard E. and Joan (Ullery) Norman. He was a graduate of Powers High School in Flint and earned his Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. In his younger years he Managed restaurants in Michigan and Kentucky. He then lived and worked in Baltimore, Maryland assisting his brother Dr. James Norman at the Yalich Chiropractic Clinic. His most recent work was in the retail industry as an Assistant Sales Manager.
Norman was community minded and enjoyed being active in his neighborhood, community, and local politics. He had made plans to volunteer with the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana in the Spring. Michael had many hobbies which involved learning and practicing French, crocheting, playing the keyboard, and doing yoga at the local YMCA.
He enjoyed time spent with family and was looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild due February 25, 2021.
Michael is survived by daughter, Chelsea Jean Fulks and her husband, Anthony Fulks II; mother, Joan Norman; siblings, James Norman, Janet Macko, and Mary (Greg) Boike; nieces and nephews, Joe Macko, Laura Lohndorf, Kathryn Macko, Eric Boike and Jason Boike; and his great-niece and great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Norman; son, Adam Norman; and brother-in-law, Greg Macko. Tributes may be sent to the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
