SCHMIDT, Stephen Arthur, age 52, of Flint, passed away peacefully Friday, July 25, 2014. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Friday, August 1, 2014 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Fr. Ronald Scheible officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00PM Friday until time of service at the funeral home.
Stephen was born May 31, 1962 in Grand Blanc the son of the late Earl E. and Shirley A. (Loiselle) Schmidt. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1980 and later U of M, Flint, MI with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. He was employed as realtor by Century 21 and advanced to a broker. Stephen was also employed in the paint department at Lowes. He was a talented horticulturist who had a brilliant mind for plants and their species. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and father who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his children, Spencer and Grace Schmidt; sisters, Renee A. Landaal and Collette M. Yott; nieces, Erika A. Yott and Sarah M. Yott and newly born great-nephew, Christian L. Stratton.
The family extends special thanks to all the friends who have been there for Stephen throughout the years.
