BALLARD, Nancy – of Davison, age 84, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Monday, November 14, 2022 at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 1523 N. Oak Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Sue Colavincenzo officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church or to a charity of one’s choice, in Nancy’s memory.
Nancy was born in Flint, MI on October 5, 1938, daughter of the late William and Aileen (Moore) Herron. She married Kenneth Ballard on May 7, 1960. Nancy was actively involved as the Board Secretary at Braidwood Manor, Taeckens Terrace and Ballard Village and in the caring of their residents. She was an active member of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church. Nancy enjoyed travelling, especially to their family cabin in Waters, MI. Nancy was Ken’s navigator on their many trips around the country, whether it be by plane or travel trailer. Family meant everything to Nancy and she would never miss an opportunity to be with them.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Ken; children, Julie (Greg) Pray, Jill (Paul) Crotteau and Jennifer (Matt) Nichols; grandchildren, Alex (Makenzie), Meghan (Brad), Logan, Alyssa (Luke), Austin (Elizabeth), Jacob, Abby, Emma, Grant and Chelsea; great-granddaughter, Finley; in-laws, Larry and Millie Ballard; special friends, Sue Colavincenzo and Norene Dallaire; and many other loving family members and friends.
