JONES, Emma Jean – Of Flint, age 85, died Saturday, January 29, 2022 at MediLodge of Montrose.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Glad Tidings Tabernacle, 4475 South Linden Road, Flint, Reverend Brian Oswald officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Jones will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Emma was born in McColl, South Carolina on December 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth (Turner) Hucks.
On June 4, 1955 she married Dan in Dillon, South Carolina.
She was a member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle.
Mrs. Jones was a Bookkeeper for First National Credit Bureau for 17 years.
Surviving are her husband, Dan L. Jones;
children, Dan L. (Bonnie) Jones, Jr., C. Michael (Jan) Jones and Lynn D. Jones (fiancee’ Sue);
grandchildren, Shaun Jones, Erin Fisk, Christopher Jones, Lisa Eddy and Haley Lynn; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Theda Scott;
in-laws, Eloise Peppers, Peggy and Jeral Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jimmy Jones and sister, Joyce Todd.
