HOWARD, Patsy “Patty” Lee (Mathes) – of Flint, MI, age 77, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, February 25, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Friday, February 25, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation, Patsy Howard’s memory.
Patsy was born in Sugar Tree, TN on July 5, 1944, daughter of the late Lonnie and Golden L. (Britt) Mathes. She was a graduate of Beecher High School Class of 1962. Patty Mathes married Roger W. Howard on April 11, 1962. She was employed with ABC 12 for 10 years. Patsy was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was known by several names including, “Patty”, “MeMe”, “Ma” and “Gamma”. Patsy enjoyed gardening, specializing in growing beautiful flowers. She also loved spending time with her family.
Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Roger W. Howard; 2 children, Debra Ann (Mike) LeClaire and Roger W. (Lisa) Howard, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Madison Sutherland, Logan LeClaire and Jaden Howard; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Golden L. Mathes; grandson, Michael Benjamin Wayne Sutherland and brother, Larry Livingston.
