BESAW, Ann Marie – of Clio, formerly of Rudyard, Michigan, age 80, died Monday, December 26, 2022, at her residence. Funeral service will be held 3PM Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 12PM until the time of service. Honoring Ann Marie’s wishes, cremation will follow.
Ann Marie was born October 20, 1942, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to the late Albert and Mayme (Jacobson) Smith. She attended Rudyard Community Schools where she received her high school diploma with the class of 1960. On April 22, 1961, Ann Marie married her best friend, Robert “Bob” Besaw, and together they shared 61 years of marriage. In 1981, Ann Marie and Bob started an appliance repair business in Clio, Appliance Services Unlimited, where she worked as co-owner and secretary. Ann Marie loved her family dearly and looked forward to making new memories at Sunday dinner. She never missed a U of M game, no matter the sport, and represented them proudly. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking and going shopping with her lifelong friend, Toni. Ann Marie was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
Ann Marie is forever loved by her husband, Robert Besaw; Children: Michelle (Bob), Melissa (Steve), Mark (Tamara), Michael (Jennifer), Merin (Kyle), and Miles; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Sisters-in-law: Nancy, Janet, Linda, Dale, and their families; Special best friend, Toni Szecsodi. Ann Marie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Smith. |
