HAMRICK, William Ross – Of Grand Blanc, age 91, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Doug Connelly and Pastor Scott Snyder co-officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carriagetown Ministries.
Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
William was born in Charleston, West Virginia on August 21, 1931, the son of the late Virgil Ross and Mary Elizabeth (Carr) Hamrick.
On September 1, 1957 he married LaVelle Criner in Gallipolis, Ohio.
He was a member of South Baptist Church.
Bill’s joy in life was his faith in God, his family, and the opportunity to serve in Boy Scouts of America, Junior Achievement, and Carriage Town Ministries. His greatest privilege was to serve in the church within the city he was currently living with a passion for foreign missions. The apple of his eye was his grandsons, AJ and Zachary.
Mr. Hamrick was owner and operator of Hamrick Dawn Donuts for 48 years.
Surviving are wife, LaVelle Hamrick;
sons, David (Karen) Hamrick and Steven Hamrick;
grandsons, AJ (Rachel) Hamrick and Zachary Hamrick.
