HARRISON,, Donna Jean - Age 86, of Naperville, IL, formerly of Fenton, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St, Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Burial 2:30 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Fenton United Methodist Church.
Donna was born August 28, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of John and Thelma (Hanover) Stark. She was a 1955 graduate of Beecher High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Donna married Charles Franklin Harrison on September 5, 1959 in Flint and he preceded her in death December 13, 2021. Donna and Charles had been long time residents of Fenton, Michigan and active members of Fenton United Methodist Church. Donna had recently relocated to Naperville, Illinois to be closer to some of her grandchildren and great grandson who all adoringly called her Nina.
Surviving are: her children, Heidi Harrison, Mark Harrison, and Jeffery (Erika) Harrison; grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Hayden Brown, Meredith Arant, Madelynn Brown, Megan Harrison and Adam Harrison; great grandson, Lucas Harrison.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Stark. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
