Age: 82

MORGAN, Guadalupe B. (Munoz) – of Flint, MI, Age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 23, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Flint in early 2021. At her wishes, she has been cremated and will be interred at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lupe’ was born on July 17, 1938, to Carmen (Beltran) and Romaldo “RC” Munoz in Garden City, Kansas. The oldest of 3 children, Lupe’ helped raise her brother and sister upon the sudden passing of her mother at a tender young age. Lupe’ had 3 children, whom she loved dearly; Marieau R. Morgan, Regina A. Schacher (Ricky) and Lemuel "Lee" R. Morgan (Stacy). She is also survived by her half-family through her step-mother, Rita G. Munoz; Racheal Strait (Jon), Robert Munoz (Julie), Rose Munoz and Rocky Munoz (Tracy).

Lupe’ worked 30 years at GM (AC Spark Plug/Delphi) mostly as a parts inspector and was a proud member of UAW Local #651. She worked endless hours to provide for her family. Lupe’ also found time to sell Princess House products, model for Avante’ modelling agency, be the queen coordinator for the American GI Forum, regularly donate blood to the American Red Cross, crochet blankets, and attend the St. Mark Women’s Wednesday Bible Class. She was a life-long member of Davison VFW Post #4087 Women’s Auxiliary. Lupe’ struggled with her health following a major stroke soon after her retirement in 2002 but she was determined to not let it slow her down.

Lupe’ could be seen at her grandchildren’s sporting events and was easily identified by the loud cowbell she would ring long and often in her excitement. She loved attending church services, singing in the church choir, going to Bible study, wearing flashy dresses and glittery jewelry, dancing to Tejano music, having her hair and nails done and enjoying her morning cappuccino. She was very proud of her Hispanic heritage and tried to instill that pride into her family. Lupe’ also loved going to family reunions in Garden City, Kansas, put on by her cousins Abundio “Muni” Munoz (Jesse), George Munoz and Abelardo “Abi” Munoz (Peggy). Her presence will be missed by everyone who knew her.

To loving memory she leaves 10 grandchildren, Megan, Marieau Edward, Kristin, Carmen, Andrew Antonio, Jesse, Mariah, Shane, Cheyenne. She also leaves behind 24 great-grandchildren, Gabriella “Bella,” Desimus “DJ,” Josh, Justin, Maddox, Hunter, Aireona, Antonio, Jovanna, London, Kingston, Hudson, Mila Grace, Paul Royce, Maverick, Gianna, Nadie Ela, Justice, Mila, Avianna, Elijiah, Za’chiah, Miles and Amelia.

Lupe’ was preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister, Mary Ann Ortega (Javier) and their children, Adan (Tina) and Alejandro “Hondo” (Ann), and her brother, Michael “Big Mike” R. Munoz and her sister-in-law Robin Munoz.

Gifts in her memory can be given to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Flint, where she was a long-time member, or to your favorite charity. The family would also like to thank Bobby Joe and Carolyn at Bristol Manor for their tender care.
