CONNOLLY, JOHN JOSEPH, JR.- Of Flint, age 84, died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Grand Blanc Fields.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
John was born in Washington D.C. on March 2, 1937, the son of the late John J. and Florence (Belt) Connolly. He and his family moved to Charlevoix, Michigan when he was 7 years old.
He moved to Flint in 1964 for employment at AC/Delphi, where he worked for over 37 years. Most of those years were in Production Control.
He made many friends while there, and enjoyed after work and weekend cocktails with many of them!
After retirement he worked part-time at Universal Parts. John enjoyed working at Universal and the social interaction he encountered daily.
John served in the US Army, was a graduate of MSU, and an avid Spartan football fan; he also enjoyed attending U of M football games with friends.
Over the years he skied, sailed, enjoyed painting and had fun returning to Charlevoix to relax.
John was also a dog lover; he especially loved his Cocker Spaniels.

He leaves his wife, Stephanie; his son, John, as well as many other friends and family.
