Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Symons, age 81, of Chapel Hill, TN died Friday,
January 19, 2024. Born in Gaines, MI, Larry was a son of the late Carl
Symons and Florence Hudson Symons. He was retired from General
Motors where he worked as a diesel mechanic. Larry loved helping
people, the outdoors, working on the farm and refurbishing old cars. He
was a member of the Chapel Hill Lions Club and Chapel Hill United
Methodist Church.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Symons of Chapel Hill, TN; a
daughter, Michele Carol Cope of Centralia, WA; a son, Michael Carl
Symons (Michelle) of Linden, MI; 2 sisters, Maxine Lepior and
Glennadine Bonham both of Linden,MI; a brother, Merle Symons of
Inverness, FL; 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Masen)Allen, Ashley Symons,
Blade Cope, Carlie Jo Cope and Madison Horn; great-grandchild, Harlee
Jo Reyna.
Visitation with the family will be from 10am – 12pm, Saturday, January
27, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home with a Memorial Service beginning
at 12pm.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the
Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund, P.0. Box 246,
Chapel Hill, TN 37034
