Odette, Mark O. – of Clio, age 70, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Mark was born January 1, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, to the late John and Shirley (McPhee) Odette. He attended and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1971. Mark worked at AC Sparkplug for 30 years. He enjoyed being part of the Abate of Michigan Club. He was known for his adventurous spirit, he found joy in riding his motorcycle and indulging in his love for classic cars. Mark's love for literature was evident as he could often be found with his nose buried in a book. Mark had a heart as big as his sense of humor, always ready to lend a helping hand or bring a smile to anyone's face. He was a natural comedian, a true jokester, and his quick wit brightened the lives of those around him. His furry companion, Jake, was his faithful sidekick and brought him immeasurable joy throughout the years.
Surviving are: Daughter, Shokee Berry; Brothers: Matthew (Sherry) Odette, Timothy Odette, and John “Denny” Odette; Sisters: Mary “Jeannie” Pettit, and Jacqueline (Ken) Stelmach; Sister-In-Law, Carol Odette; Nieces and nephews: Brett, Stephanie, Travis, Trenton, Michelle, Lauren, Jeremy, Jason, Brandy, Jennifer; His furry companion, Jake.
