HARROW, Edward Oliver – of Davison, MI, age 94, loving husband, father and servant of God passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Davison Free Methodist Church, 502 Church Street, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Shane Bengry and Pastor Eric Rose co-officiating. Private interment in Davison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hills Camp and Retreat, 10359 Farrand Road, Otisville, MI 48463, in Edward’s memory.
Edward was born on August 16, 1931 in Flint, MI, son of the late Dayton and Marion (LaTurneau) Harrow. He completed his education at Beecher High School, Spring Arbor Junior College, Greenville College, and Michigan State University — a lifelong learner whose knowledge and compassion shaped generations of students. On January 24, 1953, Edward married Ruth Mulholland. Their partnership of 73 years was a testament to steadfast love, mutual support, and shared faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956, carrying the same sense of duty and humility into civilian life. Edward devoted his career to education and youth. He taught in the Beecher and Davison public schools, served as a bus driver, school social worker and driver’s education, and guided young people as a Boy Scout leader. His persistence, encouragement, and strength helped countless students and families find their footing and pursue their potential. A beloved and integral member of the Davison Free Methodist Church, Edward was known for his deep love for the Lord and his consistent, humble service to others. He touched many lives through prayer, example, and practical acts of kindness, and he was widely loved and honored by his church family and community. Edward’s life was defined by faith, service, and devotion to family. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him — especially his wife, Ruth, whose companionship and shared journey brightened every year of his life.
Edward is survived by his wife, Ruth (Mulholland) Harrow; 2 daughters, Linda (John) Rose and Diana (Randy) Mason; 5 grandchildren, Kris (Carrie) Rose, Eric (Meghan) Rose, Nathan (Megan) Rose, Deana Gregory and Aaron (Andrea) Mason; 13 great-grandchildren, Winston Rose, Logan Rose, Isaac Rose, Sarah Gregory, Caleb Gregory, Eisley Gregory, Ainsley Rose, Barrett Mason, Colt Mason, Boaz Mason, Jeriah Mason, Aidan Rose and Ethan Rose; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dayton and Marion Harrow.
