BIELEC, Tony Peter – Of Flint, age 93, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022 peacefully at home.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 11am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, Tony requests that you reach out to someone with a problem, project or situation of which they are having difficulty… and smile, thinking of him.
Tony was born in Boyne Falls, Michigan on December 20, 1928, the eldest son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Skop) Bielec. He came to the Flint area in 1945. On October 16, 1954, he married Joan Lucille Carlson in Flint and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2005. Tony worked at Hovey Block Company until 1956, after which he and his brother, Eddie, created Bielec Brothers Cement and Masonry Contractors. He retired from Bielec Brothers in 2000 at the age of 72. Tony’s true hobbies were enjoying hard work, hunting and fishing. Above all else he was a devoted husband and loved his family.
Surviving are children, Thomas (Laurie) Bielec and Cindy Glenn;
Grandchildren, Patrick Nicholas Bielec, Casey Alexander Bielec, Alexander Lawrence (Jalyn) Bielec-Glenn and Christopher Albert (Kyle) Glenn;
3 great-grandchildren;
And brothers, Eddie Bielec of Prudenville, MI and Hank Bielec of Flint, MI;
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jim Glenn.
