PINTOSKI, Arlene Virginia (Fox) - of Flint, Michigan, age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Sugarbush Assisted Living. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Arlene’s son, Perry Pintoski, officiating. Interment 1 PM Friday, October 28, 2022 in Hillman Rust Cemetery, Hillman, Michigan. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2022 and 12-1 PM Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice, in Arlene’s memory.
Arlene was born in Hillman, Michigan on February 18, 1934, daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Stoddard) Fox. She married Edward Pintoski on November 24, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2008. Arlene thoroughly enjoyed being a housewife and mother, which showed in her lovely home and great cooking. Her homemade pizza was legendary, with everyone from the family and the neighborhood clamoring for a dinner invitation. Everything she made was delicious and wholesome. Arlene had a flair for decorating, and really enjoyed buying new furniture. Her other love was music, of which she was an avid listener. Arlene’s taste in music was modern, which always surprised younger people who visited. She always kept her home, yard and vehicle meticulous and in good repair. Arlene had a great sense of humor, often chuckling at her kids’ antics and jokes. Lastly, she loved her family more than anything and sacrificed so much for everyone. She was a strong, quiet person who never complained about anything, including her pain. Arlene will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We love you Mom with all our hearts. We raise our wine glasses in a toast to a classy, loyal, wonderful Mother.
Arlene is survived by her seven children, Teena (Mark) White, Marlo (Chuck) Savage, Perry Pintoski, Kerry Taylor, Marina (Joe) Caustrita, Carla (Greg) Doellner and Sean (Gayle Humes) Pintoski; nine grandchildren, Buffy (Perk) Weisenburger, Justin (Lisa) Crandall, Genelle Uhrig, Melissa (Steve) Lambert, Aimee Pintoski, Loren Mills, Nina Pintoski and Riley Courtier; eight great-grandchildren as well as many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margaret Fox; husband, Edward Pintoski; great-granddaughter, Nora Pintoski and seven siblings.
