GOSS, RONALD TRAVIS- Age 78, of Port Richey, FL, formerly of Flint, MI died of heart failure at his home on Friday, March 11, 2022.
Ron was born on October 15, 1943 in Malden, MO, to Mary and Travis Goss.
His family moved to Mountainview, AK and then to Flint, MI.
On March 23, 1962 he married Barbara Bennett.
During his life in Flint he worked for Speeds Auto Trim for 30 years, then owned Goss Upholstery with his wife. Barbara preceded him in death in 2007.
He married Judith Carll on April 18, 2011 and moved to Florida, where he lived the rest of his life very happily.
He loved to play his guitar and sing. He liked playing bocce ball, and the tournaments with his neighbors.
He loved fishing in the ocean.
He had many friends and family who loved him. Anyone who knew him loved him.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Travis Goss; his mother, Mary Goss; brother, Arthur Goss; first wife, Barbara Goss and son, Ronald Jr. “Chip” Goss.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Goss;
his daughters, Tracy (Mark) Schindler and Lori (Michael J.) Briggs;
stepchildren, Gina Crumbliss, Ronald (Judy) Opthop and Dan (Amanda) Opthop;
grandchildren, Jason Arnold, Aaron Arnold, Tara (Aaron) Baase, Zakkary (Shelby) Goss, Michael Briggs and Melissa (Trent) Moore; brother, William (Betty) Goss and sister-in-law, Barbara Goss;
many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Ron has been cremated and will rest at Bushnell National Cemetery in Sumter County, Florida.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Vision Pointe Assembly of God, 9444 East Dodge Road, Otisville, MI 48463, Pastor Tom Forgo officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Vision Pointe Assembly of God, 9444 East Dodge Road Otisville, MI 48463 .
