KLARICH, Vickie Louise (Owen), of Burton, Michigan, age 69, died Friday, February 11, 2022, after a well fought 3-year-battle with cancer with family at her side. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Cremation will follow. Final interment will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Vickie will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 North Ballenger Highway, Flint Township, where family will receive friends 10:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday.
Vickie was born April 1, 1952 to Oliver and Berta (Reaves) Owen in Lafe, Arkansas.
Vickie enjoyed her grandchildren, family, cat, art, animals, family tree research, lighthouses, shipwreck history, iced coffees fudge, and chocolate-covered cherries. She had a heart bigger than the universe and would do anything for her family and friends. Everyone who met her admired how strong she was and loved her energy and positive attitude. She was quite the comedian and was always cracking jokes and making people laugh no matter what was happening. The picture above shows her fireworks defense. Bowl helmet for protection, garden hose to put out any fires.
She wasn’t afraid to try and research new things. She was always reading and expanding her knowledge. She didn’t fear much, except spiders and loud "booms" from fireworks, and again spiders. She was witty, charming, and had an infectious smile that lit up the world. She loved making hand drawn greeting cards, and signing the back “Ma Mark” or “Gma Mark” in lieu of hallmark. She was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed watching Spider-Man, and other superhero movies. The grandkids called her Krazy Kookie Grandma, and loved her very much. She was a kid at heart and you would find her having snowball fights, and building snowmen with the grandkids, or helping them build blanket forts and crawling through them laughing and giggling.
She leaves behind 2 children, Kelly & Carl Sharkey, and Luke & Tiffinie Klarich; grandchildren, Kourtney, CJ, Ella and Josie; 4 sisters; 1 brother; her purrfect cat, Ryder; a grandpuppy; and a grandbunny. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
During her illness she showed us what a Wonder Woman super hero she truly was. We will miss her dearly. |
