MASSE, Della Frances, age 76 of Davison, formerly of Flint, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2-6 PM Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Della to the Humane Society of Genesee County (www.geneseehumane.org).
Della was born on April 7, 1949 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Derwood and Jean (Stuber) Freese. She was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School. Della was a Supervisor for Delphi for 30 years. She was very talented and ran a booth in Burton and Birch Run for over 10 years, refurbishing and selling antique furniture. Della was the sweetest person, with a heart of gold. She loved animals, especially her cat Stormy. Della cared deeply and stayed connected with friends and co-workers, never missing their events. Most of all, she cherished her family and grandchildren and loved attending their events.
Surviving are: her son, Jason (Keri) Masse; beloved grandchildren, Garrett and Sophia; life partner, Ed Pleninger; sister, Donna Sawall; brother, Dennis (Uma) Freese; her best friend, Stephanie Calvert; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Don Sawall.
Della's family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc, for their compassion and care for her.
