MACAINSH, Clayton W. Sr. – of Burton, MI age 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, September 25 ,2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Ken Herbruck officiating. The family will receive visitors the hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International.
Clayton was born in Davison, MI on December 29, 1930, son of the late Nason E. and Hallie (Upton) MacAinsh. He married Margaret A. Wortz on July 29, 1950, and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2011. Clayton enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica at the senior’s centers. He loved to play softball, ice fishing and gardening.
Clayton is survived by children, Janet (Hairl) Wilson, Clayton Jr. (Jan) MacAinsh; Elizabeth (Paul) Rogers, Judith Liechty, Lori Motley and Clare MacAinsh; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Chuck) Franklin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; daughter-in-law, Gayle MacAinsh; siblings, Richard, Pearl and David. Clayton’s family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Absolute Hospice for their assistance and care of Clayton.
