Alice K. Kammerzell, age 91, of Burton, passed away September 6, 2023. Funeral service will be held 1:00PM, Monday, September 11, 2023, at Open Door United Methodist Church, 4010 Lippincott Blvd., Burton, MI. Family will receive visitors from 11:00AM, until time of service Monday. Pastor Kim Metzer officiating. Private burial at Dawn Memorial Cemetery to follow. Alice was born December 8, 1931, in Turner, MI, the daughter of Edgar and Mary (Smith) Shaffer. She was joined in marriage to John Kammerzell Jr. on October 23, 1954, at the Methodist Church in Standish, MI. Alice was a wonderful, loving mother and very much enjoyed her time with her family. She was involved with the Atherton United Methodist Church (later becoming Open Door United Methodist Church) becoming a member of the Women's Club making Pasties, prayer shawls, and overseeing luncheons. Alice is survived by her loving husband John, daughter Tammy (Joe) Saidoo, daughter-in-law Monica Kammerzell, four grandchildren Dustin Kammerzell, Chris Saidoo and partner (Lyniece), Erica (Adam) Ragsdale, and Lauren (Rich) Hurst, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Mary Shaffer, son David Kammerzell and 8 siblings. We would like to thank the caregivers at Bristol Manor and The Care Team Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Open Door United Methodist Church (address above) or The Care Team Home Health and Hospice, 5401 Gateway Centre Blvd, Suite D, Flint, MI 48507.
