GREGORY, SUE KAREN – Of Swartz Creek, age 76, died Thursday, November 9, 2023 at The Ridge of Lansing.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday November 13, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Rob Prince officiating.
Following the service a luncheon will be held at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 Bristol Road, Flint.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Lansing.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2023 and 11 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 until the time of the service at 12 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Sue was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 27, 1947, the daughter of Arthur and Florine Johnson.
She married Donald G. Licquia at the Central Church of the Nazarene on April 8, 2017.
She was also a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. She sang in the choir her whole life.
She loved golf, bowling, traveling, crafts and holiday baking. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren; going to their sporting events and activities.
Sue’s career included teaching elementary school in Michigan, Middle School in West Virginia and selling real estate in Illinois.
Surviving are 2 children, Amy and husband Bradley Bertsch, Scott and wife Holly Gregory;
9 grandchildren and sister, Janne Matter.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald K. Gregory.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Ridge of Lansing and Hospice of Lansing.
