BRANDER, Donna Jane (Foster) – of Avon Park, Florida, formerly of Davison, age 83, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, in Sebring, FL. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, October 4, 2021, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Robert Taylor officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Sunday and the hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Donna’s daughter, Kelly Gilmour.
Donna was born in Flint, MI on January 2, 1938, daughter of the late Ommer C. and Hilda E. (Burtch) Foster. In addition to working as a bank teller for 30 years, Donna enjoyed camping and playing cards with her family and friends. She also spent her free time sewing clothes and crafting blankets for her loved ones.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Gregg Brander; son, Mark W. Brander; son-in-law Brad (Martha Churches) Gilmour; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice (Bob) Courney; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ommer and Hilda Foster; daughter, Kelly M. Gilmour; 2 sons, Blake and Brett Brander; sister, Liz (Frank) Farkas.
