KURTZ, David Lee - Age 74, of Grayling formerly of Fenton, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 14, 2024 at St. Jude Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth St., Fenton. The Reverend Susan A. Williams officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Wednesday from 4-8 PM and at church Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. Lunch will be served in the parish hall for those who wish to stay. Those desiring may make contributions to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
David was born March 31, 1949 in Mt. Morris, the son of Donald and Mary (Myers) Kurtz. He was a 1967 graduate of Fenton High School and he received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. David had a passion for flying, fishing and hunting. He married Dee Ann Kerekes on July 27, 2019. David owned and operated Kurtz Gravel Co. in Flint, MI.
Surviving are: his wife, Dee; children, Heather (Rhett) Orr, Todd Monge (Nicole McRae), Jennifer Kurtz, Ryan (Jacqueline) Monge, Brandy Kurtz, Nathan Kurtz and Amber Monge; grandchildren, Nicholas Kurtz, Zachary (Emily) Monge, Mason Orr and Quinn McRae; great granddaughter, Olivia Monge; twin great grandsons, Connor and Charlie; and siblings, Jan Serig, Kelly Kurtz, Page Barber-Kurtz and MaryAnn Oldsberg.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Daniel Kurtz. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
