TIMM (ROBERTS), Carole Joan – Of Flint Township, age 89, died Friday, January 28, 2022 at home, surrounded by loving family.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Pius X Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue, Father Anthony Strouse officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Burial of cremains at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the North End Soup Kitchen or All About Animals.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Carole will be at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass.
Carole was born in Flint, Michigan on September 20, 1932.
She attended and graduated from St. Michaels School in 1950. She received a B.A. degree from Marygrove College in Detroit in 1954, and an M.A. from the University of Michigan. Her teaching career of 37 years with the Flint School system included time at Martin Elementary, Bryant Middle School, and Northern High School.
She married Donald Timm in August of 1964 and together they enjoyed traveling and camping with friends and family. Carole was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and spending time with her beloved daughter, Liz and grandsons, Brandon (Anna) and Jason (Olivia). Especially the many trips to the Tawas and Oscoda areas.
She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Carole was preceded in death by parents, Edmund and Sonia Roberts; daughter, Jennifer; husband, Donald; sisters, Elaine Rozof and Gloria Wilke (Melvin) and sister-in-law, Delores Timm-Mobley (Jack).
Special mention to Carole’s adored nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her fur babies that she loved dearly.
